ALL YAMAHA MODELS CAN BE SERVICED HERE AT TOUSLEY MOTORSPORTS NO MATTER WHERE YOUR VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED.
Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in 1999 and 2000, and in certain 2001 XV16 ("Road Star," and "Road Star Silverado," "Midnight Star," and "Road Star MM Limited") model motorcycles. This is an expansion of the range of affected motorcycles covered by the recalls announced in Technical Bulletin M2004–001 and M2003–011. All XV1600 motorcycles are now included in the affected range for this defect, including
those prior to the range announced in M2003–011. In affected motorcycles, certain transmission components may not meet Yamaha quality–control standards, which could allow abnormal wear that eventually results in a broken retaining circlip. If the circlip breaks, the transmission could lock up, which would also cause the rear wheel to lock up. This could result in loss of control and a vehicle crash with injury or death. To correct this defect, Yamaha is expanding its Factory
Modification Campaign. Affected motorcycles must have certain transmission components replaced with new ones. Motorcycles, outside this new range, already modified as part of the previously announced recalls do not require any additional action now. Yamaha is notifying all registered owners of affected motorcycles by mail. A copy of this letter is included in this bulletin. The customer should take the letter along with the affected motorcycle to an authorized Yamaha dealer
for the modification. A computer report listing all affected motorcycles invoiced to your dealership is included with this bulletin. Use the list to help ensure all motorcycles are modified. All sold motorcycles that have been registered with Yamaha will show the customer's name and address.Your dealership must notify the owner of any affected motorcycle that was actually sold but is listed as "unsold" in the report. You must modify all affected motorcycles in your inventory
as well as all customer–owned motorcycles brought to you for this service. Any affected motorcycle that you purchase from Yamaha in the future will also require modification. If you purchase a motorcycle from another dealer, check to see if the procedures in this bulletin have already been performed before you sell the motorcycle. Motorcycles that are affected should not be operated until they are modified. It is a violation of Yamaha policy for your dealership to deliver
any affected motorcycles to customers until the procedures in this bulletin are performed.
Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in all 2006 YZF–R6V, VC, SPV, and SPVC ("R6") model motorcycles. In affected motorcycles, the air filter mounting screws may come loose and fall out. If they do, they could get caught in the throttle valve which could prevent the operator from reducing engine speed properly. This could result in loss of control and a vehicle crash with injury or death. To correct this
defect, Yamaha is initiating a Factory Modification Campaign. Affected motorcycles must have the air filter element replaced with a new one that is designed to hold the screws securely. Yamaha is notifying all registered owners of affected motorcycles by mail. A copy of this letter is included in this bulletin. The customer should take the letter along with the affected motorcycle to an authorized Yamaha dealer for the modification. A computer report listing all affected
motorcycles invoiced to your dealership is included with this bulletin. Use the list to help ensure all motorcycles are modified. All sold motorcycles that have been registered with Yamaha will show the customer's name and address. Your dealership must notify the owner of any affected motorcycle that was actually sold but is listed as "unsold" in the report. You must modify all affected motorcycles in your inventory as well as all customer–owned motorcycles brought to you
for this service. Any affected motorcycle that you purchase from Yamaha in the future will also require modification. If you purchase a motorcycle from another dealer, check to see if the procedures in this bulletin have already been performed before you sell the motorcycle. Motorcycles that are affected should not be operated until they are modified. It is a violation of Yamaha policy for your dealership to deliver any affected motorcycles to customers until the procedures
in this bulletin are performed.
Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in all 2004 and certain 2005 YZF–R1 motorcycles, in all 2004 and certain 2005 FZS600 motorcycles, in all 2002 through 2004 and certain 2005 XV1700PC motorcycles, and also in all 2003 through 2004 and certain 2005 FJR1300 and FJR1300A motorcycles. In affected motorcycles, an improperly designed Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) could cause an intermittently unstable idle when
the engine is at idling speed when the motorcycle is stopped or during lowspeed operation. The engine could stall as a result. If the engine stalls after the operator disengages the clutch in a low gear while riding, the rear tire might slip momentarily if the operator abruptly re–engages the clutch. This could result in a vehicle crash with injury or death. To correct this defect, Yamaha is initiating a Factory Modification Campaign. Unmodified affected motorcycles must
have TPS replaced with a new one. Yamaha is notifying all registered owners of unmodified affected motorcycles by mail. A copy of this letter is included in this bulletin. The customer should take the letter along with the affected motorcycle to an authorized Yamaha dealer for the modification.
Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA has determined that a possible defect which relates to safety may exist in certain 2004 and 2005–model FX High Output (FX1100) and FX Cruiser High Output (FX1100A) WaveRunner® watercraft. In affected units, certain parts of the throttle body assembly, including the link lever, may become corroded during storage if exposed to salt water. This corrosion could prevent the throttle return springs from returning the throttle linkage all the way to
the idle position. If this occurs, the engine may be prevented from being started or, if the engine is already running, the throttle may stick open, possibly resulting in an accident with personal injury to the operator, passengers, or bystanders. PAGE 1 of 11 2004~2005 FX1100/ 1100A FACTORY MODIFICATION CAMPAIGN RECALL This modification has top priority. This bulletin must be performed immediately to ensure customer safety. To correct this possible defect, Yamaha is
initiating a Factory Modification Campaign. All units in the affected range must have the throttle body assembly replaced with one that has proper resistance to corrosion. Yamaha is notifying all registered owners of affected units by first–class mail. A copy of this letter is included in this bulletin. The customer should take the letter along with the affected unit to an authorized Yamaha dealer for modification. A computer report listing all affected units invoiced to
your dealership is included in this bulletin. Use the list to help ensure all units are modified. All sold units that have been registered with Yamaha will show the customer's name and address. Your dealership must notify the owner of any affected unit that was actually sold but is listed as "unsold" on the report.

This notice is sent to you as a follow–up to the safety recall letter you received in March 2006, and is in accordance with the requirements of the Consumer Product Safety Act, the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Act and other applicable laws. What is the reason for this notice? In cooperation with Transport Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. and BRP US Inc. ("BRP") conducted a voluntary safety recall at the end of last
season (March 2006) of all Mach Z® 2005 and 2006 and MX Z® RENEGADE® 1000 2006 Ski–Doo models, as specified in the attached Safety Campaign Bulletin. We are re–contacting you again because the replacement parts are now available. What is the potential problem? As described in the March 2006 safety recall letter and Safety Campaign Bulletin: "Due to a problem with starter ring gear, cracks may appear. This may cause ring gear fragmentation at high speeds and debris may act as
projectiles. This situation can potentially cause serious injuries or even death to riders or bystanders." What will BRP do? BRP has already sent a follow–up safety recall letter to all known registered owners of these vehicles. This letter asks the owners not to use their vehicles before getting the ring gear replaced. If they had the ring gear removed, they must get the new one installed. Also, BRP posted this notice and attached Safety Campaign Bulletin on its BOSSWeb
dealer website (www.bossweb.brp.com) and on its public web site (www.ski–doo.com). What should you do? Contact all of your customers who have purchased this product. 1. You must inform them about the foregoing and ask them to make an appointment to get their vehicles repaired. 2. If the ring gear was removed, your customer must get the new one installed. 3. If the ring gear was not removed, you must remind your customer not to use their vehicles before the ring gear gets
replaced. 4. Do not deliver any involved vehicle before doing the repair. 5. Follow all instructions provided in the attached Safety Campaign Bulletin.
Note: No International Models Involved. GTX is a trademark of Castrol Ltd used under licence. PROBLEM On some vehicles, the bolt securing the steering cable to the steering stem arm may be improperly installed and could allow the steering cable to disconnect from the steering stem arm. If this occurs, it may result in a sudden loss of steering and possible collision with another vessel or with a fixed or floating object. This situation can potentially cause serious injuries
or even death to rider or bystanders.
SOLUTION Locate steering cable stem arm bolt and ensure it is properly installed and torqued. NOTE: No part should be required to perform this campaign. In the unlikely event where the steering cable stem arm bolt (P/N 211 000 081) was improperly installed and lost in the hull along with the elastic nut (P/N 232 561 600), claim these parts under normal warranty (claim type 01).
What is the reason for this notice? In cooperation with Transport Canada and the U.S. Coast Guard, Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. and BRP US Inc. ("BRP") are conducting a voluntary safety recall of certain 2007 Sea–Doo models. Our records indicate that you are the owner of a potentially affected watercraft. What is the potential problem? On some watercrafts, the bolt securing the steering cable to the steering stem arm maybe be improperly installed and could allow the
steering cable to disconnect from the steering stem arm. If this occurs, it may result in a sudden loss of steering and possible collision with another vessel or with a fixed or floating object. This situation can potentially cause serious injuries or even death to rider or bystander. What should you do? Immediately stop using your watercraft and call an authorized BRP Sea–Doo dealer and make an appointment to have your watercraft inspected and repaired. The dealer will
perform this work at no charge to you. To contact your nearest authorized Sea–Doo dealer, visit www.sea–doo.com, or contact us by phone at the numbers below. What to do if you feel this notice is an error? This notice was mailed to you according to the most current information we have available.
